Horatio’s Garden

Horatio’s Garden nurtures the wellbeing of people after spinal injury in beautiful, vibrant sanctuaries within the heart of NHS spinal injury centres. Leading designers create the accessible gardens where the charity’s team, alongside volunteers and creatives, care for people and plants alike.

Horatio's Garden came to us with a brief and a deadline: to refresh its identity and website in time for the Chelsea Flower Show 2023, where they were due to exhibit one of their calm, inspiring gardens.

Horatio’s Gardens are vital places for people facing life-changing injuries and long stays in hospital.

Working in tandem with the brilliant Bee Jacobs, who created a new brand strategy framework, we set about creating an identity and website to reflect the experience the beneficiaries have: welcoming, immersive and naturally uplifting.

We also designed some communications pieces for their exhibition at the Chelsea Flower Show, including this guide.

Cover wrap design by Emma Bridgewater, a long-time Horatio’s Garden supporter.

More to come soon…

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL

“It’s been such a pleasure to work with We Mean This on the charity’s brand refresh project and the creation of a brand new website to reflect our values and mission. They have creatively and expertly guided us through the whole process and nothing has been too much trouble. We are so pleased with the simple, elegant and contemporary designs they have created that beautifully embody our brief and values and which we were able to roll out in time for a major event.”

– Zoë Franklin, Horatio’s Garden
